Summer 2007. Cared for one boy, age 7 for approximately 40 hours each week. Job requirements included tutoring assistance in reading, driving to tutoring, camps, and sports practices, cooking, and some cleaning.
Summer 2006. Cared for two boys, ages 4 and 6 for approximately 50 hours each week. Job requirements included tutoring in reading and math, assisting with occupational therapy, weekly swimming lessons, driving, cooking meals, cleaning, helping the family prepare to move, and providing all necessary support and assistance with the boys while their mother was in the hospital for over two months.
Study Abroad, Strasbourg, France, Spring Semester 2007. Semester abroad studying French, Art, Culture, and Politics. I also traveled to multiple European countries.
Student Teaching, Edna L. Toliver Elementary School, Danville, Kentucky, Spring 2008. Experience teaching in a CHAMPS and Reading First school. Worked with a cooperating teacher at the third grade level and taught all subject areas including Reading, Reading Workshop, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Math. Worked independently and with cooperating teacher to plan lessons, activities, and field trips.
